I'm always looking for ways to use fabric scraps since I have so much.
The solution....recycled fabric cards!
You can go to any craft store and purchase blank cards with matching envelopes or just use construction paper, like I did. The construction paper was a little easier to get the needle through.
The pink birthday card (pictured above) is the simplest way to make these cards and took no more than 10 minutes to make. The blue notecard (pictured below) was a little more time consuming, but still using the same technique.
Supplies:
Construction Paper or Blank Cards
Embroidery Needle
Embroidery Thread
Fabric Scraps
- First, fold your paper to the size of the card you want.
- Using the needle and thread, sew the scrap of fabric to the card. When you are finished tie the thread into a knot.
That's it! Write a cute message and off to the post office you go. Isn't getting mail awesome? Except when it's jury duty. Oh yes, that came on Friday.
