My mom had these down in dc at the national marathon and thought they were awesome. At the food store today I finally found them. They are quite interesting. It's kind of a mix between a rice cake and a potato chip. Not fried or baked, they are "popped" from heat and pressure.
They are really good and a lot healthier than regular chips, about 4 grams of fat and 120 calories for over 20 chips. Their original, sea salt and vinegar, and salt and pepper are all certified vegan, kosher, and soy free. They are made with healthy oils like sunflower and safflower. Popchips also have no gluten or wheat ingredients. Their website does state that the chips are made on equipment shared with wheat. Look for them in your local store!
