I was at Whole Foods and found rhubarb. Crazy. It's kinda way past rhubarb season so I was excited. Then the cashier rang it up as something different and I only paid $3 for almost 2 pounds. Lets just say I grabbed my bags and ran!
So then at home I threw it in my vegetable drawer and forgot about it. Two weeks later (today!) I remembered I had it. And it wasn't bad! I love rhubarb, it's a little tart. That's why it goes so well with sweet strawberries.
My pie dough was acting up because it was hot today. The strips kept breaking for my lattice. Instead of getting frustrated I just used a cookie cutter with pieces of dough on the top. I like it. As you can see, this pie is extra juicy!
