Happy Valentines Day!

What a crazy day it has been. Work was very very busy, and now I must get ready to go to school. It feels weird going back, but in a good way. I'm really loving it and it feels great to have more of a challenge on my plate. Not that dealing with customers isn't a challenge, but you get what I mean.

Last night while I had some free time I made up some delicious Valentine treats for my family. They included chocolate covered strawberries and a new recipe, strawberry and basil scones. Sounds kinda weird, but surprisingly good. A great recipe for the summer when you have an overabundance of basil, but I thought the red from the strawberries was festive! Chocolate covered strawberries are so incredibly easy to make and yet so incredibly expensive to buy.

In addition to the treats I made a simple Valentine Heart Garland that I hung over my fireplace. I made it from sewing little heart pillows and attaching it to yarn. Not very complicated but a little time consuming with sewing the hearts by hand. It also doesn't scream "Valentines Day" so I think I will keep it up for a while!

Recipes and more specific instructions on how I made my garland coming tomorrow, for now...ACCOUNTING!

Again, HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
